Herbs to Grow Your Brain

In the morning one of the first things I want to grab to help kickstart my day is my coffee. The caffeine gives me that kick I need to focus and get going. But recently I have found that I am needing and wanting a little bit more to help me focus and improve my cognitive function. After doing much research I have found these 5 herbs, well really 4 herbs and one mushroom, that help my brain to grow and work at its cognitive peak.

The herbs are:

  • Lemon Balm
  • Milky Oats
  • Panax Ginseng
  • CBD
  • Lions Mane

Each of these has its own unique properties that will help you to boost and improve your brain function.

Lemon Balm

Lemon balm is an herb that is part of the mint family. It has been traditionally used to help with anxiety and insomnia, as it has calming properties. It is also believed to have antiviral properties and has been used to help with cold sores, herpes, and shingles. Additionally, it has been used to help improve digestion and reduce bloating. It is available in supplement form, including capsules, teas, and extracts.

Milky Oats

Milky Oats, also known as Avena sativa, is an herb that is traditionally used to help with stress and anxiety, as it has calming properties. It is also believed to help improve cognitive function and concentration. Additionally, it has been used to help improve sleep and to support the nervous system. Milky oats are available in supplement form, including capsules, teas, and extracts.

Panax Ginseng

Panax ginseng, also known as Asian ginseng, is an herb that has been used for centuries in traditional medicine for its medicinal properties. It is believed to help with cognitive function, energy levels, and reducing stress. It is also believed to have anti-inflammatory properties and has been used to help with diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Additionally, it has been used to help improve athletic performance and to support the immune system. Panax ginseng is available in supplement form, including capsules, teas, and extracts.

CBD

CBD (Cannabidiol) is a compound that is found in the cannabis plant. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties and has been used to help with pain, anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Additionally, it has been used to help with acne, and some studies suggest that it may help to reduce the risk of certain types of cancer. CBD is available in supplement form, including capsules, tinctures, and topical creams.

Lion’s Mane

Lion’s Mane is a mushroom that has been traditionally used in Asia for centuries, and it’s known for its medicinal properties. I love Lion’s Mane because it’s believed to have anti-inflammatory properties and has been used to help with cognitive function, memory, and overall brain health. Additionally, it has been used to help with nerve damage, anxiety, and depression. Lion’s Mane is available in supplement form, including capsules, tinctures, and powdered form.
