Nashville Trip!

Hello travel bugs!

I recently went on a trip to Nashville with one of my best friends and it honestly was one of the best trips I have been on as an adult. Nashville is definitely a place you want to go if you are over 21 and have some money to spend. There are so many different activities to participate in, but a lot of the iconic bars on broadway are only 21 and up after a certain time.

One thing I really enjoyed about all of the bars was all of the live music. All of the music was so good! There was a lot of variety throughout the country and rock’n’roll genres at each bar so you didn’t hear a lot of repeats while bar hopping. The drinks were good and not overpriced like many other cities I’ve been to which was nice for my bank account and my stress levels.

My friend and I mostly stayed at the Hilton right off of Broadway and spent most of our time right around that area in Nashville. It was very easygoing and the streets were very clean! Which was surprising considering how many people were out every night. The people there were great! There were so many different groups of people from bachelor and bachelorette parties, groups of older ladies, groups of just turned 21, and groups of people who were just there to kick back and drink while listening to some country music. No matter what I was wearing I never felt out of place and the weather was ideal while we were there.

Below I’ll list some of my favorite places that we went to and what each place has to offer!

Food:

Copper Branch (Vegan)

Copper Branch is a chain restaurant that has all-day breakfast, smoothies, power bowls, sandwiches, flatbreads, and soups. They have a wide variety of coffees and teas as well as bottled drinks such as Kombucha.

Copper Branch was definitely one of my favorite places to go because their food was really good, very inexpensive, and had options that everyone in our group enjoyed. They have plenty of gluten-free options as well which made it even easier for me to be able to enjoy.

Mellow Mushroom

Mellow Mushroom is a pizza place that is popular throughout the south. They have so many different pizza options as well as salads and calzones. I chose to build my own pizza when we went here. They have gluten-free crust options and vegan cheese that you can choose for a topping. It is a very affordable pizza place and the location we went to was right on Broadway.

This location had four different floors. The first two floors have a bar area and different seating areas. The second floor has an opening overlooking the first floor where the bands play. The third floor is a game room with different arcade games to play. The top floor is half covered where the bar is and then open so you can sit in the sun and look out onto Broadway. The food was delicious and came out in a timely fashion. I definately suggest Mellow Mushroom to any vegan or anyone with a gluten sensitivity.

E+ Rose (Vegan)

E+ Rose is a health food restaurant and juice bar that serves whole food, plant-based dishes. This restaurant/juice bar has such a great atmosphere and is perfect for taking cute pictures. I got one of their smoothies which was delicous and filling. They also have some different wraps and salads that looked amazing. This is a great place to get a quick bite to eat or something delicious to sip on that will leave you feeling rejuvinated and fulfilled.

Ole Red

Ole Red is Blake Shelton’s resturant that is located on Broadway. Ole Red is burger/pub-style food. They do have a Beyond Burger and the option of a gluten-free bun which is what I had when I went. It was good and is one of the only bars that had this option which was nice. They have great drinks and good live music.

Bars/Night Life & Daytime Activities

Johnny Cash Museum

The Johnny Cash Museum is a great place to go during the day time. This museum has his entire life on display as well as videos of him performing and some of the movies and shows he acted in. For anyone who is a music fan, this is a must. Tickets cost around $25 after taxes and you have as much time to look around the museum as you would like.

John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge

This bridge is a beautiful place for a walk during the day. There are multiple places to sit and enjoy the view of the city or the riverway. This is one of the largest pedestrian bridges in the world. It is a very easy walk and has great spots for taking pictures.

Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse

This is a great place to go during the day or at night. There is always live music playing! This was our favorite place to go because the bands were amazing every time and there was a wide variety of music playing. This place has 4 floors with three different bands playing at night. The second floor opens up in the center, sort of like a balcony flooring area that overlooks the main stage band on the first floor. There is always good music playing at any time in here and the drinks are good as well as reasonably priced.

Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge

This is located right across the street from Kid Rock’s place. This baar has some food and some great drinks. There is live music and a rooftop bar area that has live music and a seating area over looking broadway. The music here is great as well and the drinks did not dissapoint. After around 10 or 11 the upstairs bar area turns into more of a club scene with a DJ playing and dancing. It is a lot of fun and if you are looking to still listen to some live country music there is always a live band playing on the lower level as well.

I feel like there is so much more to say but I just can’t logically fit it all in here on this post. Overall it was a great trip and honestly any place you go to on broadway is pretty great. There are lots of bars and restuarants with live music, plenty of places to buys yourself some cowboy boots or souvenirs, and lots of places for good drinks and food! I would definately go back again! If anyone has any other suggestions of great places to go in Nashville or what place I should go to next comment below!

Love always!
