This marinara sauce is great for any Italian dish from lasagna to pasta to pizza. This sauce is easy to make and super savory.
I usually like to make my sauce first with any recipe so that way it is able to sit and soak in the flavor of the seasonings.
First, you’ll want to grab a medium pot to put everything in. You can use any tomato sauce that you like, I usually just get the least expensive store brand cans I can find, try to make sure that it is the sauce with reduced sodium. I use two 15 ounce cans because I like to have a little extra sauce at the end. Pour the sauce into a pot on the stove set on medium heat. Then add the garlic powder, olive oil, brown sugar, basil, oregano, rosemary, onion powder, thyme, and then a pinch of salt. If you have fresh rosemary or thyme that works great as well! Season to the taste that you prefer, but the amount I usually use is below. After all of the seasonings are added and stirred in, turn heat to low or sim.
Add to your dish and enjoy!
